Following the exhibition Fellini's Obsessions and echoing the 700th Anniversary of Dante's death, the Foundation published at the end of the year Fellini The Mirror of Dante, a study that Stephane Marti, President of the Fellini Foundation, dedicated to the constant and profound influence of The Divine Comedy on the whole of Fellini's work, and in particular on his most mysterious film project, which remained unfinished in 1967: The Journey of G. Mastorna. Composed as a contemporary Descent into the Underworld, the script continues the ancient tradition of journeys into the afterlife dating back to the myth of Orpheus, Homer's Odyssey, Virgil's Aeneid and The Divine Comedy.
